HUMANS
Organizations are more than just systems; they're crafted from humans, meanings, histories, and beliefs. Assisting an organization in its transformational journey means empowering individuals to embrace, desire, and become the change. All our projects originate from and focus on people. Our primary question is: How do we engage people to make transformation happen?
PARTNERING
We bring to organizations a unique academic lens to transformation, grounded in research on organization and innovation. Rather than acting as traditional consultants, we partner with existing internal roles (Project Sponsor and a Project Manager), support a Design Team, tasked with steering innovation and engage an Extended Team to be sure that no voice, perspective or insight remains unheard.
DIALOGIC
Organizations resist change when subjected to top-down, external strategies. We opt for a dialogic approach, aiding organizations in re-framing issues, involving stakeholders, and fostering self-organized innovations. We view innovation as an evolving, action-learning process, rather than a fixed, pre-planned activity. For us, change is a continuous journey, not merely an intermittent disruption amidst periods of stability.
ENGAGING
Humans are naturally inclined to follow their own path of transformation rather than one dictated by external forces. We facilitate the crafting of personal meaning in the transformational journey by leveraging the IKEA effect, a phenomenon where involvement enhances engagement. Our methodologies are highly interactive and expose intensively to multiple perspectives: pair, group, interpreters, spaces, reverse mentoring.
ENABLING
As researchers, the aim is to unearth and disseminate new knowledge. Advisory activities in Leadin' Lab are science-based and reciprocally enrich academic understanding. We not only measure the outcomes scientifically but also enable the organization with the methodologies and insights needed for future replication and innovation. To us, partnerships are bi-directional.
